umm... wtf?

Kennan - the man behind the merch at Nina's shows - said this while Molly and I were buying Nina's LP at her show in Zürich as if coming to Ilirska was totally normal and expected... Ilirska Bistrica is a tiny place (my mom is from there so I spent lots of time there as a child), but they have a legendary music club. Molly and I headed to the show straight from the olive harvest - another great set, cool to see them perform at MKNŽ...

First dinner at our new home

we live on a lovely street in a lovely old building... but most of our apartment is not suitable for public viewing yet. Here are some shots of a tablecloth, a wine glass, and molly's hands. Nothing to do with the apartment really.

Molly's Woods

These were Molly's woods. They were just behind our temporary place. They were colorful. They were mysterious. They were what she needed. Now they are no more - we've moved. These woods are now ex-woods. Molly has new woods. Currently they are frozen.

Olive Harvest

My uncle Cenko and aunt Sonja own an olive grove. It's in a spectacular spot, overlooking the adriatic sea, just across the hill from Trieste. It was an exceptionally grey day, but the olive trees yielded over 3 tons of olives - a record-breaking year! The only bad part about partaking in an olive harvest is that you can't eat the olives while you're picking them...
